Meet Scott

SCOTT ST. DENIS

With over 23 years of experience in secondary education, I’ve spent my career helping students and educators discover what’s possible when curiosity, creativity, and community come together in the classroom. My work has always centered on one simple goal: to make learning more human—more engaging, more collaborative, and more empowering for everyone involved.

As both a Spanish teacher and digital learning leader, I’ve seen firsthand how technology can transform classrooms when used intentionally. It’s not about replacing great teaching—it’s about amplifying it. When we pair the right tools with thoughtful pedagogy, we create learning environments where student voice, choice, and agency truly flourish.

Why I Started Happy Cat, Ed.

Happy Cat, Ed. was born from a desire to bridge the gap between innovation and practicality in schools. Educators are being asked to integrate AI, rethink instruction, and adapt faster than ever—but they shouldn’t have to do it alone.

Through one-on-one coaching, district partnerships, and professional learning sessions, I help teachers and leaders harness AI and digital tools in ways that make sense for their classrooms. My mission is to build confidence, spark curiosity, and help schools move forward with purpose—not pressure.

My Experience

Before launching Happy Cat, Ed., I taught AP Spanish and led digital learning initiatives at Westford Academy in Massachusetts, where I co-wrote one of the district’s Digital Learning Plan. I’ve presented at the MassCUE Fall Conference (2023 & 2025) and served as a conference ambassador, supporting educators as they explore new strategies for teaching and learning. I also taught IB Spanish at Locust Valley High School, on Long Island, NY, where I was selected as a top 15 educator twice.

I hold a Master’s in Education and Curriculum Instruction through Technology and a Bachelor’s in Spanish and Secondary Education from Marist College, with additional study at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
